CELEBRATE FOUNDERS DAY
On November 8, the Zonta clubs from Areas 1 and 5 gathered at the Dusit Thani Hotel to celebrate Zonta International’s Founders Day and honor Olivia Ferry, the first and only Asian president of Zonta International.
The event was hosted by Cristina Gomez Ong from Area 1 and Rose Fres Fausto from Area 5. The evening featured performances by soprano Janina Lorelei of the Zonta Club of Makati Ayala, singer Lauren Liechtenstein of the Zonta Club of Alabang, and Ballet Philippines’ dancer Jemima Reyes. A special highlight was a performance by celebrated Filipino singer and national icon Jose Mari Chan, who delighted attendees with a duet with his daughter, Liza.
This gathering reflected Zonta’s commitment to empowering women worldwide, as members paid tribute to the organization’s legacy and the achievements of Olivia Ferry, a trailblazer who has inspired generations across Asia and beyond.
