Tina DiCicco is a marketing, brand and communications professional with more than 20 years of leadership experience across airlines, hotels, and technology in Asia-Pacific. She has a track record of building innovative, pioneering and disruptive businesses for early-stage companies as well as for blue-chip players such as Lufthansa and IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group).
Tina is now a leading advocate in the Southeast Asian start-up travel tech ecosystem.
Di Cicco’s engaging talk focused on the innovations shaping the future of mobility and the profound impact they will have on how we travel. She emphasized that the future of the travel industry is not just about technological advancement but also about ensuring diverse voices and perspectives are included in the conversation. As part of her message, Di Cicco championed the importance of investing in women and girls, highlighting it as a critical opportunity for future innovation, leadership, and development. She quoted, "Get a seat at the table, give a seat at the table," underscoring her commitment to advancing gender equality in the professional and innovation spaces.
Expressing her gratitude, Di Cicco acknowledged Zonta for the invitation and praised the club’s advocacy work in promoting gender equality, addressing violence against women, and highlighting the pivotal role the aviation industry plays globally.
The program began with an opening prayer and the Zonta prayer, led by President-Elect Marcy Kohchet Chua. President Joanne Zapanta Andrada gave the welcome remarks, while Aileen Ruiz Zarate hosted and moderated the event. The closing remarks were delivered by AE Co-Chair Carmina Bayombong.
The event saw robust participation from Zontians across various clubs, as well as dignitaries, students, and faculty members from institutions such as PUP, FEU, and, of course, ZCME. PATTs College of Aeronautics had over 150 students in attendance.
