A True Service to Humanity in Times of Disaster
The Zonta Club of Makati and Environs, along with other generous partners, turned over ₱380,000 for the victims of Super Typhoon Carina on August 1, 2024, at the Philippine Red Cross Headquarters in Mandaluyong City.
The donations were received by Philippine Red Cross CEO and Chairman, former Senator Dick Gordon, and PRC Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn Pang. The checks were presented by ZCME President Joanne Z. Andrada, accompanied by Club Treasurer Stella Cabalatungan and ZCME Executive DirectorJay Joaquino.
"Each of us has a responsibility to reach out and help our brothers and sisters affected by disasters. One day it may be us or our loved ones needing someone to reach out to help.” said Andrada.
