ZCME garners harvest of awards at 22nd District Conference
Zonta Club Makati and Environs sparkled at the recent 22nd District Conference held at the Grand Hyatt in BGC from Sept. 29-Oct. 1, 2023 by capturing the coveted Governor’s Diamond Award in the “Best Club in MAGIS” award category. According to PIP Livie, the Conference Organizing Committee Vice-Chair and member of the Governor’s Awards Committee, “to qualify for the 5 Best Clubs in MAGIS Award, the club must have excelled in the five sets of goals of the district—Membership, Advocacy, Governance, Involvement, and Service.” In the award levels set by the Governor, the highest is Diamond, followed by Platinum, then Gold, Silver, and Bronze. ZCME won Platinum for Best in Advocacy, and Best in Governance. The club won Diamond for Best in Involvement and Best in MAGIS. The club was also cited in the Zonta Foundation for Women (ZFW) Awards as “Best Club Donor” and 100% Members Donor, meaning that all the club’s members donated to ZFW.
The Awards Committee led by Kathleen Yip of Hong Kong 1, were guided by District Governor Lia Bautista’s biennium slogan of MAGIS—Membership, Advocacy, Governance, Involvement, and Service.
